Welcome
I wrote 5,866 words on Over/Under before I wrote like, a welcome post. To be fair, that's because I didn't have a blog until I needed a place to write down my experience with Over/Under in an easily digestible format. Now that that's done, though, I figured I should like. Introduce myself. If I have any plans to keep using this place.
My name is Anna, I'm a licensed Aerospace Engineer with a Bachelor's Degree who isn't working in AE because it's impossible to find a job there right now (yay, USA!). I'm a transfem who prefers to live on the femme side, and I'm the lead game designer for my passion project, a Tabletop Roleplaying Game known as Witches in the Woods!
I've also written a lesbian romance novel, that I will self-publish Soon ™ (mostly delayed because I'm trying to get Witches out the door as well and I want to be able to give both Witches and Druid's Delight my full attention). Funnily enough, I fully wrote a lesbian romance novel before I realized I was a lesbian. ... Yeah. Anyway.
Besides playing and designing TTRPGs, I enjoy playing video games (of all sorts, including Kerbal Space Program, Rimworld, Helldivers 2, Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock, BG3, etc, etc), talking about space, sometimes reading, and generally just trying to survive the cyberpunk dystopia the world is slowly evolving into!
Other fun facts, let's see:
- I started playing D&D in Spring 2021, and got into other TTRPGs mostly entirely because of one of my friends specifically (he knows who he is).
- I was a child actor and model, almost offered a role in Disney's Pan, as the lead, but turned down due to my red hair (lol, right?).
- I have played games in D&D 5e, PF2e, Spire, HERO5er, Fabula Ultima, a World of Darkness system (Princess: The Hopeful), and, of course, Witches in the Woods.
- I have ran games in D&D 5e, Spire, Wildsea, Fabula Ultima, and, naturally, Witches in the Woods.
- I started college in Fall 2020 (yeah, Covid), at age 15.
- I have ran two D&D games from level 3-20! Those were a lot of fun.
- Some of my favorite games include Citizen Sleeper (and the 2nd one, which I need to finish), The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, Tactical Breach Wizards, I Was a Teenage Exocolonist, the Dragon Age series, and BG3!
- I want to play: Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast, Blades in the Dark, Heaven's on Fire, Wildsea, Mothership (at least once), and tbh most every indie TTRPG I come around, those are just the ones I know the most about.
- I really remember the movie Alita: Battle Angel for some reason.
- I haven't seen any good movies, according to my friends.
- The hit movie Druids (2001) helped me realize I was a girl.
Okay, I think that's it. Maybe in the future I'll get into why things are named this way, for those of you who don't already know.
For now, may you travel well among the stars and stories, my friends.
